On March 26, 2024, Rep. Leslie Rossi of the 59th Legislative District in Pennsylvania revealed the allocation of over $950,000 for community enhancement projects. Rossi expressed her enthusiasm for the funding, emphasizing its significance in various areas such as security, water systems, infrastructure, and safety.

Rossi highlighted the importance of investing in the district to stimulate business growth and job opportunities, stating, "It is necessary we invest in communities that make up the 59th District because it will attract business growth and provide jobs. I support all efforts to rejuvenate our area. It was my pleasure to advocate for this funding."

The grants, including Local Share Account (LSA) grants, were aimed at supporting economic development, job training, community improvement, and public interest projects. One of the projects receiving funding was the upgrade of the municipal building in Latrobe City, with Sen. Kim Ward contributing to the endeavor.

Furthermore, Rossi announced a significant $650,000 grant from the Multimodal Transportation Fund Program for the construction of internal roads at the Derry Business Park development. Regarding this grant, Rossi stated, "This is very important funding because not only does this project benefit the people of Unity Township, but it also benefits all of Westmoreland County."

The grants were approved and distributed by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency responsible for overseeing funding programs and investments in Pennsylvania's economic growth.

Rep. Leslie Rossi's proactive approach in securing funding for these improvement projects demonstrates a commitment to enhancing the quality of life and infrastructure in the 59th District.
